The Full Story

British pianist Jack Tyndale-Biscoe's unorthodox musical path spans three continents, two instruments and repertoire from Bach to Britten. Self-taught until the age of sixteen, he went on to study at the Australian International Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, Brigham Young University-Idaho and the Royal College of Music in London, with further studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig.

His sold-out debut at the Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room) was hailed as demonstrating "true technical mastery", with "playing of masterly authority and control" (The Keyboard Charitable Trust). As a soloist he has performed at Steinway Hall UK, Fairfield Halls, St James's Piccadilly and the Jacqueline du Pré Concert Hall at the University of Oxford, and internationally across Australia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy. His live performances have been broadcast on WUSF 89.7 FM Classical Radio.

As Co-Founder of Duo Atlantis with American mezzo-soprano Rachel Payne, he has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Vienna's Musikverein, the Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg, Salle Cortot in Paris, the Rudolfinum in Prague and Kings Place in London. The duo recorded their debut album at Abbey Road Studios, which will be released in 2027 and created LampLight Concerts, an immersive evening of song and light now in cities across London, Prague, Vienna and Budapest.

As a composer, his new piano cycle Songs of Light opens with "I. Let there be Light" and releases throughout 2027.

A champion of Catalan music, particularly Albéniz, Granados and Mompou, he has performed in Barcelona many times and won 1st Piano Prize at the International Albéniz Music Festival in Camprodon. His other prizes include 1st prize at the Croydon Performing Arts Competition, a top prize at the Kings Peak International Music Competition (USA) and the BYU-I Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.

He owes much to his three main mentors, Dr Stephen Thomas, Dina Parakhina and Danny Driver, and to masterclasses with prize-winners of the Van Cliburn, Leeds, Gina Bachauer, William Kapell, Cleveland, Maria Canals and Paloma O'Shea Santander competitions. A former Associate Lecturer at BYU-Idaho, he was born in London, raised in Spain, and now lives in London with his wife, Catalan pianist and pedagogue Marta Brossa, with whom he co-directs Maison Musicale.
